About EnSav Club
EnSAv (Energy Saving Awareness) Club focuses on bringing about a first-hand realization of the energy crisis and scarcity of natural resources in the country. With the increasing demand for energy, effective management and conservation of the same has become the need of the hour. Recognizing the immense value the Professional Students can bring to the initiative and taking due consideration of this urgent need, GREEN9 started Energy Saving Awareness Club (EnSAv Club), to propagate efficient usage of energy and to educate the society on climate change issues in the fore coming years.
Objective
- To provide awareness on the importance of renewable energy usage in the present environment through public awarenesstalk
- To initiate saving of energy through execution of live energy audit withindustry, residential house, commercial buildings, institutions .
- To promote the motto “one unit saved is equal to two unitgenerated”
- To conduct energy related surveyfor effective management
- To publicize the concluded projectoutcome in indexed journals
Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, St. Joseph’s Institute of Technology has inaugurated the Energy Saving Awareness (EnSav) Club in the presence of honorable Managing Director Mrs. B. Jessie Priya.
A Training on “Effective Energy Audit in Residential Houses” is also conducted. The need of Energy Saving in society and the active role of Engineers towards Energy Saving are discussed. The importance of handling day to day life electrical devices with the concept of Saving of One Unit / day Version 2.0. is elaborated. The role of EnSav Club student members and the ways of approaching and motivating the society towards Energy Saving are explained.
ENSAV CLUB AWARD
IGEN & GREEN 9 ORGANIZED SDG CONCLAVE ON 2-3rd December 2020. Two days fourteen Partners Innovative Session on SDG 7, 9 &13. Program was inaugurated by Guest of Honour Rania Lampou Winner of Distinguished Teacher Award 2020. Chief Guest Padma Bhushan Padma Shri Dr.Thirumalachari “Ramasami”, Former Secretary, Department of Science & Technology Government of India and Distinguished Chief guest Shri . Elango Rangaswamy SDG Action Hero, Board of Advisor, IGEN. Various colleges in and around India Actively participated in this event. Our college students participated and exhibited their talents in Project demo, Live Presentation, Technical talk and webinar on SDG 7, 9 &13.
