
The Eco-Soc Club activity, “ENVIRONMENT QUOTIENT,” was organized on 21st August 2019. The main objective of this activity was to foster clear awareness of, and concern about, economic, social, political, and ecological interdependence—particularly to promote environmentally sustainable, economically efficient, and equitably allocated use of water resources.
The top 25 students were selected for the main event, namely “Strategy for Water Management Techniques.”
The students were divided into five groups and given five minutes to analyze and present their strategy for managing the water crisis. The teams were evaluated by the judges based on oratorical skill, creative ideas, relevance to the topic, and feasibility of the solution. The best team was awarded certificates and a cash prize.

The second Eco-Soc Club activity for the academic year 2019–20, “BUILDING SOCIAL EQUITY,” was organized on 17th September 2019. The main objective was to analyze and address the inequalities faced by society as part of the new sustainable development agenda, whose goals are specifically targeted to overcome various forms of discrimination.
The event began with a preliminary quiz on current affairs. The top 15 students were selected for the main event, “Strategy Planning.” The topics covered included Education Development, Tourism, Water Management, Women in Sports, and Health Care.
For the main event, students were divided into five groups and asked to speak on their assigned topic, each derived from current societal inequalities. The participants presented energetic arguments and showcased innovative ideas for building social equity in society.

The third Eco-Soc activity, “STRATEGIES FOR AUGMENTING ECOSYSTEM,” was organized on 11th February 2020. The activity aimed to discuss environmental problems affecting the ecosystem and find solutions to restore ecological balance.
A preliminary test was conducted, and the top 25 students were shortlisted for the final round. They were divided into five teams, each consisting of five members.
In the final round, each team was given an environmental problem along with a set of technologies to solve it—namely, cyclone separator, purification device, incineration device, Zigfree drone, and purification method. Teams were evaluated based on feasibility, innovative technique, and relevance to the problem.
The top three teams were awarded certificates and cash prizes.
