Industry-Institute Interaction
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at St. Joseph’s Institute of Technology
organized a strategic industrial visit to Monotech Systems Ltd. on June 18, 2026, as
detailed in "Poster.jpeg". Coordinated by Mr. S. Jagadeesh and Mr. A. Sathishkumar, the
visit provided an immersive look into how Monotech Systems Ltd. advances 3D printing
and additive manufacturing technologies in India, giving researchers and industries the
tools to transform innovative concepts into functional products with higher speed,
accuracy, and efficiency. Facilitated on-site by Balaguru Iyyappan (Senior Application
Engineer), this collaborative excursion at their Ambattur, Chennai facility yielded highly
impactful outcomes for the department, including concrete opportunities for student
internships, future placements, and upcoming expert technical talks.
Dr. Uthayakumar G S, Associate Professor, and Dr. R. Nirosha, Assistant Professor, from
the Department of ECE, participated in NEXCOMM Connect, an Industry–Institute
Interaction Program, held on 18 June 2026 in Hablis, Chennai, with experts from Parry
Technology, SimCom, SECO, and Microchip. The session provided valuable insights into
emerging communication technologies, embedded systems, IoT applications, and
industrial automation. Industry representatives discussed internship opportunities, skill
development initiatives, certification programs, and collaborative research prospects.
