The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in
association with the IoT Society of India – Professional Chapter,
           organized a two-day workshop titled "Learn by Doing – A Hands-on IoT

Two-Day Workshop" for Second Year B.E. CSE students on 24th and 25th
July 2026 from 8.00 AM to 3.00 PM at CSE Lab 1. The workshop was

conducted by Mr. R. Rennie Andersan, IoT, IIoT & Embedded Engineer,
Mr. S. Rishi Kumar, AI & IoT Educator, and Mr. Tamizhan, IoT Network

Engineer from TechKnots Academy LLP, and coordinated by Mrs. A. Vani
Lavanya, AP/CSE and Mrs. M. V. Ezhil Dyana, AP/CSE. The sessions

introduced students to the fundamentals of the Internet of Things (IoT),
its architecture, applications, and communication protocols including
MQTT, HTTP, CoAP, and WebSocket. Participants gained hands-on

experience with Tinkercad and Wokwi for Arduino programming, virtual
circuit design, sensor interfacing, and debugging. On the second day,

students implemented a Traffic Signal Automation project using
Arduino and explored the Blynk IoT Platform, learning cloud

connectivity, dashboard creation, virtual pins, device integration, and
real-time monitoring and control. Through practical exercises,

demonstrations, and collaborative activities, participants developed
IoT applications, strengthened their embedded programming skills,
and gained valuable exposure to cloud-based IoT solutions and

industry-relevant development practices. The workshop successfully
enhanced students' practical knowledge, problem-solving abilities,

and confidence in designing and implementing real-world IoT
           applications.
