Chapter Activities
Department of Information Technology and IEEE
Student Branch Chapter, organized a seminar
titled “Engineering the Future: IEEE’s Role in
Research and Startup” on 16 February 2026. The
program, held exclusively for second-year IT
students, took place at AV Hall 2 from 10:00 AM to
11:00 AM. The seminar was delivered by Dr. R.
Periasamy Pradeep, Mentor IEEE, Technopreneur,
and Angel Investor, who shared insights on how
IEEE contributes to advancing research and
fostering startup culture. The event was
conducted in association with IEEE Computational
Intelligence Society, IEEE Systems, Man, and
Cybernetics Society, and CAS, reflecting the
institution’s commitment to providing students
with exposure to global professional networks and
innovation-driven opportunities.
Department of Information Technology, organized IEEE VORTEX, presented by the IEEE Circuits
and Systems Society (CASS), on 11 February 2026. The featured event, “Prompt the Picture
Challenge”, was conducted at IT Lab 1 starting from 9:30 AM onwards. Designed to
encourage creativity and technical thinking among students, the challenge provided a
platform for participants to showcase their skills in interpreting and presenting ideas through
visual prompts.
