IoT SOCIETY OF INDIA

The Department of Computer Science

and Engineering at St. Joseph’s Institute
of Technology proudly inaugurated the

IoT Society of India, marking its official
entry into Tamil Nadu and reinforcing

the institution’s commitment to

technological innovation in the IoT
space. The event was graced by Mr. E.

Nixon, Founder & Director of Techknots
Academy LLP, as Chief Guest, whose

insights inspired attendees.

Special thanks were extended to Dr. S. Arivazhagan (Principal), Dr. G. Sree
Kumar (Dean), and HoDs for their continued support. Dr. J. Dafni Rose,

Head of CSE, welcomed the gathering, highlighting the department’s

dedication to academic excellence and emerging tech. The society
launched with 53 student members and three faculty nominees: Mrs. A.

Vani Lavanya, Mrs. M. V. Ezhil Dyana, and Mrs. R. Karthiga.

Computer Society of India

The Department of Computer Science and

Engineering at St. Joseph’s Institute of Technology, in
collaboration with the Computer Society of India –

Kancheepuram Chapter (CSI-KPM), hosted Invent
Expo on April 12, 2025, at the PEP Center. Sponsored

by CSI, the event brought together 25 teams and 60

participants from 20 colleges, offering a vibrant
platform to present real-time projects that reflected

creativity, innovation, and technical skill. Projects
were evaluated by a panel of experts, with top teams

receiving cash prizes: ₹3000 – First Prize ₹2000

– Second Prize ₹1000 – Third Prize Special
awards were given for Best UI/UX Design and Best

Innovation, celebrating standout designs and

original ideas.
