                                                                    The  II  Year  ECE  students  achieved

                                                                    remarkable  success  by  receiving
                                                                    the  Inspiring  Team  Award  with  a
                                                                    cash prize and certificates at Hack
                                                                    1.0  Fusion,  a  24-hour  Hackathon

                                                                    organized  by  Jeppiaar  Institute  of
                                                                    Technology in association with IETE
                                                                    Student  Forum  and  IEEE  Student
                                                                    Branch  held  on  25/02/2026  and

                                                                    26/02/2026.
          The team, named Chosen Innovators, consisted of Hareedhra V, Ebinesh Silsha G,

          Borge  Jessamine  Fernando  K,  Avoodaiappan  P,  and  Aswath  VT  from  II  ECE.  They
          presented  an  innovative  project  titled  “Urban  Drainage  Management  and  Alert
          System using IoT and Cloud.” The project focused on smart monitoring and alert

          mechanisms to address urban drainage challenges effectively.






          The      students      secured

          Second  Prize  with  a  cash
          award  of  Rs.3000/-  at
          EDGEX,  a  SDG-Aligned  12-
          Hours  International  Level

          Hackathon  organized  by
          SIMATS             Engineering
          College  on  23rd  February
          2026.

          The  winning  team,  Stack  Hackers,  included  Pratose  Raam  A  R  from  II-ECE,  along
          with  Mohanraj  C  (II-CSE),  Kirraneashwar  V  (I-Cyber),  and  Harshini  V  (I-Cyber).

          Competing  at  an  international  level,  the  team  demonstrated  innovation,
          interdisciplinary  collaboration,  and  effective  problem-solving  skills.  Their  solution
          was well aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and impressed the
          judges with its practical impact.
