Guest Lecture

The Department of Mechanical Engineering in
association with The Institution of Engineers (India),

Kanchepuram Local Centre, and the Institution’s
Innovation Council, recently hosted an insightful

guest lecture titled "FEA Durability and
Advancements in the Automotive Industry". Held on
March 6, 2026, at Audio Visual Hall 1, the event

featured Mr. Karthikeyan Shridhar, Simulation Lead
and Fatigue and Durability Simulation Expert from

Valeo – Power Division, Chennai, as the expert
speaker. During the hour-long session, Mr. Shridhar
shared his extensive industry expertise on Finite

Element Analysis (FEA) and the latest technological
shifts driving automotive durability. This initiative

provided students and faculty with a valuable
platform to explore real-world engineering

challenges and the simulation advancements
shaping the future of the automotive power sector.
