On 03.02.26, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in association with the
GNU/Linux Users Group (GLUG) Club, organized an interactive session titled “Smart Data
Visualization: Charts, Insights, and Generative AI” at the Smart Room from 12.10 PM to 02.50
PM. The session was conducted for 45 members of the GLUG Club and was coordinated by Dr.
Sai Ramesh, Mrs. G. Smilarubavathy, and Mrs. A. Gowri. The program was facilitated by Mr.
Ajaypradeep Natarajsivam, Assistant Professor, Department of Artificial Intelligence and
Machine Learning, Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology, Chennai. The session focused on
modern data visualization techniques, effective chart design, and the role of Generative AI in
deriving actionable insights from data. The interactive discussions and practical examples
enhanced participants’ understanding of data-driven storytelling and emerging AI-powered
analytics tools.

LECTURE

On 04th February 2026, the Department of
Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a
guest lecture on “VLSI Design and Verification:
Skills, Tools and Career Opportunities” for II Year
students. The session was delivered by Mr. Syed

Jamalulla Basha, Design Engineer, Taras System
and Solutions, Chennai. The speaker provided
valuable insights into the fundamentals of VLSI
design, verification methodologies, and industry-
relevant tools. He also highlighted emerging
trends, required skill sets, and career pathways in
the VLSI domain. The lecture was highly
informative and interactive, motivating students
to explore opportunities in the semiconductor
industry.
