WINTER
HACKATHON
Engineering jointly organized a 24-hour Winter
Hackathon, ImpactX 3.0, on 5th and 6th February 2026 for
students from various colleges and departments.
Sponsored by IEEE Madras Section, IEEE SPAx, Autobots
Inc., and Zoho Corporation, the event created a dynamic
platform to showcase hidden talents and promote
experiential learning beyond the classroom. A total of 517
teams from 72 colleges registered for the hackathon, out
of which 85 teams were shortlisted after a rigorous
screening process. This edition was centered around the
17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), motivating
participants to design innovative solutions for global
challenges. The hackathon was held on the college
premises and emphasized creativity, leadership, and
collaborative problem-solving among students. A cash
prize of ₹30,000 was awarded to the most outstanding
team for presenting impactful solutions aligned with
industry needs and SDG themes.
