GUEST LECTURE
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, St. Joseph’s Institute of Technology,
successfully conducted an interactive one-hour guest lecture session on 05.02.2026 on “Azure
Databricks” for III-year CSE students. The session provided valuable insights into cloud-based big data
analytics, Apache Spark fundamentals, and real-time data processing using Azure Databricks.
Students gained an understanding of data ingestion, transformation, machine learning workflows, and
the importance of scalable analytics platforms in modern industries. The lecture was highly engaging,
with practical examples and discussions that enhanced students’ awareness of cloud technologies and
industry-relevant tools. Overall, the session enriched the students’ technical knowledge and
encouraged them to explore advanced data engineering and analytics domains.
SEMINAR
The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized
an insightful seminar titled "Designing Your Career:
Placement Strategies for Mechanical Graduates" on
February 6, 2026. Held at the Mechanical CAD Lab, the
session was specifically curated for II and III year
students to help them navigate the competitive job
market. The event featured expert resource persons
K.S. Vishalini and S. Uma, both professional Softskill
Trainers from Action DnA, who shared valuable
strategies on career planning and placement
preparation.
IE(I)
On 06.02.26, the Department of Computer Science and
Engineering, in association with IE(I), St. Joseph’s Institute of
Technology, successfully conducted a technical talk on “Angular”
for III-year CSE students. The session was delivered by Ms.
Aparaajita, who provided an in-depth introduction to Angular as a
powerful front-end framework for building dynamic and scalable
web applications.
