Guest Lectures

The EEE department recently hosted an eagerly anticipated and thought-provoking guest lecture
titled "Solar PV Technologies and its applications" on April 8, 2024. Dr. K. Pushpanathan, the
esteemed Director of TIAS Energy Pvt Ltd, Chennai, served as the distinguished speaker for this
enlightening event. A gathering of 55 enthusiastic and intellectually curious second-year students
eagerly attended the session, eager to delve into the intricacies of solar energy.

The lecture aimed to go beyond the basics, offering insights into cutting-edge approaches for
harnessing solar power in various settings, including homes, businesses, and industries. Dr.
Pushpanathan provided a comprehensive overview of solar panel mechanics while also exploring

innovative methods for maximizing solar energy utilization.
