The Department of Information Technology recently concluded its highly anticipated software hackathon,
Techchallengethon, spanning twenty-four intense hours. Drawing participants from various disciplines, the
event provided a platform for talented students to showcase their coding prowess and problem-solving
abilities. TechChallengethon - 24, an Intra college Hackathon on April 5th and 6th, 2024. Esteemed guests,
Mr. PRAVEEN and Mr. Jeganathan from Guvi Geeks Network, Chennai, graced the occasion as chief guests.
Students were tasked with four problem statements, and those who successfully tackled them were
rewarded with Guvi courses worth Rs. 48,000, alongside a cash prize totaling Rs. 40,000. Representatives
from prominent organizations such as BGSW, Freshworks, Neosurge, Cognizant, Thoughtworks, Zoho, Kate
Infinity Pvt Ltd, and Sonata Software Ltd were also in attendance, contributing to the event's success by
distributing prizes to deserving winners. Three outstanding teams, Brainhacks, Local Host Pirates, and
Artify, emerged as victors, with Brainhacks securing the top position and a prize of ten thousand dollars.
Following closely, Local Host Pirates demonstrated commendable performance, earning seven thousand
rupees, while Artify impressed judges with their creativity, securing a prize of three thousand rupees. Beyond
the competitive aspect, Techchallengethon offered invaluable learning experiences, enabling participants to
enhance their skills, establish new connections, and gain insights into the latest software development
trends. The hackathon emphasized collaboration, innovation, and perseverance—essential qualities for
success in the tech industry.
