The Department of Information Technology
congratulating the following students Sandhiya
G, Vishwa V, and Shyamnath A B, III Year IT D for
their remarkable performance in AlgoUtsav
2026, the flagship ICPC event hosted by the

National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela,
on 10 January 2026. Competing among more
than 2500 teams from IITs and other universities
across the country, They secured the 12th position
overall and achieved an impressive 4th place
among IIT teams, thereby qualifying for the

offline finals at NIT Rourkela.

Department of Information Technology proudly

recognized the achievement of its students who
excelled in the IIT Madras – Shaastra 2026 VISA
24-Hour AI Hackathon. A team consisting of Balaji
R, Balamurugan T, Dinesh K, and Sanjay Sreeram S
from the IT and ECE departments secured a place
among the Top 10 Performers in the prestigious
competition. Their innovative project, titled
“GenAI Agent for Universal, Dimension-based

Data Quality Scoring”, showcased their technical
expertise and creativity in addressing complex AI
challenges.

The Department of Information Technology

and B. Ishwarya, second-year students , for
securing the First Prize in the Technical Quiz event

at IMPULSE 2026, a National Level Technical
Symposium organized by the Department of
Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Chennai
Institute of Technology, Kundrathur, on 5th
February 2026.
