Dr.N.P.Gopinath, Assistant Professor, Department of
Electrical and Electronics Engineering has published a
research paper titled “Enhanced Performance of Triple-
Stage Interleaved Converter in HRES Grid System Using
Puffer Fish Optimized PI Controller” in the Iranian
Dr.N.P.Gopinath Journal of Science and Technology, Transactions of
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR Electrical Engineering by Springer International
Publishing.

The IEEE Madras Section Student Activities Committee (SAC), in association with
the IEEE Student Branch, successfully organized the IEEE HUB Congress –

Student Branch Officers Meet on March 28, 2026, hosted by Kings College of
Engineering (Autonomous) under the theme “Thanjavur Connect.” The event

brought together student leaders, faculty members, and IEEE representatives to

foster collaboration, leadership, and knowledge sharing. The program was graced
by the chief guest, Shri Vinukumar A. R., Scientist ‘G’ and Senior Director at C-

DAC, Thiruvananthapuram, who delivered an inspiring keynote address.
Adding to the significance of the event, Dr. K. Vijayakumar, Head of the

Department of Information Technology, also participated as a speaker and

addressed the gathering, delivering an insightful speech to both faculty members
and students
