CSIR WORKSHOP
The Department of Information Technology of St. Joseph’s Institute of
Technology successfully organized a CSIR-sponsored two-day National
Level Workshop on “Quantum Photonics in Biomedical Imaging and Clinical
Potential: Promises & Challenges” on 25th and 26th March 2026. The
workshop aimed to provide participants with insights into the emerging
applications of quantum photonics in the biomedical field, highlighting
both its potential and challenges. Distinguished resource persons including
Dr. Ashish Agarwal, Chief Scientist at CSIR–National Physical Laboratory,
Delhi, Dr. R. P. Aloysius, Senior Principal Scientist at CSIR–National Physical
Laboratory, New Delhi, Dr. Theerthagiri Lakshmanan, Postdoctoral Fellow at
the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, Mr. Thanikachalam Mannangatti,
Chief AI and ML and GenAI Architect at Perficient, and Dr. M. Gayathri,
Associate Professor at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai,
shared their expertise and research insights.
