Dr. C. Gnana Kousalya, a professor from the Department of ECE, has published a research
1 paper titled "Analysing UPQC Performance with Dual NPC Converters: Three-Dimensional
and Two-Dimensional Space Vector Modulation" in a Springer journal in 2025. The paper
focuses on innovative methods to enhance Unified Power Quality Conditioner (UPQC)
performance using advanced modulation techniques. Her work contributes significantly
to the field of power electronics and quality improvement in electrical systems. This
achievement highlights her dedication to impactful research and technological
advancements.
Mrs. G. Akilandeswary, assistant professor from the Department of ECE, participated
2 in a Faculty Development Program on "IoT in Healthcare: Transforming Patient Care
and Management.". The FDP was conducted at Sri Venkateswara College of
Engineering from December 9 to 14, 2024. The program focused on leveraging IoT
technology to improve healthcare systems and patient management. Her
participation reflects her dedication to integrating advanced technologies into
healthcare innovation.
Dr. C.T. Kavitha, associate professor at St. Joseph's Institute of Technology,
3 successfully completed the AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Faculty Development
Program. The program, titled "Advanced Semiconductor Devices and AI Chips:
Research Opportunities and Challenges," was held at Sri Venkateswara College of
Engineering from December 16 to 21, 2024. This initiative provided valuable insights
into cutting-edge developments in semiconductor technology and artificial
intelligence.
Dr. C. Gnana Kousalya, Professor from dept of ECE successfully participated in the
4 one-week online workshop, IP SAATHI-2024, organized by the Innovative Technology
Enabling Center (InTEC), CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Material Technology (IMMT),
Bhubaneswar. The workshop, held from December 16 to 21, 2024, focused on
fostering scientific accountability and accelerating technology and innovation
through intellectual property (IP). Her active involvement underscores her
commitment to advancing research and innovation.
Dr. C. Gnana Kousalya, a professor from from dept of ECE, has been honoured with
5 the "Top Performing Mentor" award by NPTEL. This recognition is for her exemplary
guidance in the online certification course "Introduction to Industry 4.0 and Industrial
Internet of Things", conducted from July to December 2024. Under her mentorship, 12
mentees enrolled in the course, with 11 actively participating and 8 achieving scores
of 60% or above. Among them, 3 mentees scored between 75-89%, and 1 mentee
emerged as a topper with a score exceeding 90%. Her dedication to student success
continues to inspire excellence in online learning.
