The Department of Computer Science and Engineering successfully

organized a One Day Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Machine

Learning on April 8, 2026, at AV Hall. The conference was conducted
under the banner of SAMUDHAYA – Hub for Industry, Academia,
Research, and Innovation.

The event aimed to bridge the gap between academia and industry by

providing insights into the latest advancements in AI and ML. It
brought together distinguished industry experts, academicians, and

students to explore innovative ideas and practical applications of
artificial intelligence. The event commenced with the inaugural

ceremony, where the welcome address was delivered by Dr. J. Dafni
Rose, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

Mr. Nishanth Nalan, Practice Head – Life Sciences, ACL Digital,
delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing the growing importance

of AI in transforming industries and encouraging students to develop
future-ready skills. A panel discussion on the theme “AI and

Humanity: Redefining Personal and Professional Landscapes” was

conducted with experts from: AstraZeneca, Zoho, Pfizer, ACL Digital,
SRM University.
