St.Joseph's Institute of Technology

A team of second-year Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) students
from St. Joseph’s Institute of Technology secured first place in the prestigious

Aavishkar’ 25 ISF Hackathon. The event was held on March 27, 2025, at SRM

Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Vadapalani. The winning team
members—J. Walter Viwin, S. Vimalan, S. Vasanth, and T. Sanjay—demonstrated

exceptional problem-solving skills and technical expertise. Their project, titled

“Autonomous Maritime Navigation and Alert System - VOLANS-Call,” aimed to

enhance maritime safety using advanced technologies. The team was awarded a
prize amount of Rs. 5,000/- along with a prestigious NIOT (National Institute of

Ocean Technology) internship.

Department of IT pleased to congratulate the following students Ms. Monika D,
Nitesh Kumar S K for winning SECOND prize in the Technical Event HACK ‘N HUNT

during International Tech Fest TEXUS ’25 held on 28th March 2025, conducted by

SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, Chennai 600089.
