On 23/09/17, "1 Dollar Venture" was conducted inside our college campus. The event was to form different student teams and each team member has to invest Rs.10 and with the total team money the teams have to come up with a product and have to sell their product. Nearly 20 students (5 teams), participated in the event. Students made a maximum profit of Rs.1500. This event helped in creating awareness about entrepreneurship and made the participants enjoy the thrill of business.

On 25th January 2018, an "Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp" was conducted inside our college with three renowned speakers. Nearly 129 students attended the camp; the students The main objectives of Entrepreneurship Development Cell are to identify students, to groom them by providing entrepreneurship education and training for the growth of Small and Medium sized enterprises and to encourage students to seek innovation and challenges for the maximum utilization of resources.

Online courses are being conducted for the second year ED cell members. The course is an initiative taken by Anna University in association with Wadhwani Foundation. The course aims in encouraging and motivating the students to start their own business inside college campus. The course has progressed upto six lessons upto date. The course has numerous fun filled activities and assignments. One assignment given to the students was to interview an entrepreneur and get a report done. The students are also continuously monitored through online assessments. During the last six lessons students were introduced to different key skills and styles of entrepreneurship.

An “Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp’’ jointly sponsored by Department of Science and Technology- National Implementing and Monitoring Agency for Training (DST-NIMAT) New Delhi; Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmadabad (EDI); and National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB) New Delhi; was conducted from 4 th to 6 th September 2018. Around 80 students participated in the awareness camp which consisted of a series of guest lectures and Industrial visits.

A SIDBI (Small Industries Development Bank of India) sponsored five days extensive training on “Entrepreneurship Development Programme” was conducted for 25 Entrepreneurship Cell students from 10 th September 2018 to 15 th September 2018. Four internal faculty members addressed the students on various topics related to startups and entrepreneurship. On the last day of our programme Mr.Sukumar, Assistant General Manager, SIDBI visited our campus to address the students on various loan aspects and other benefits offered by SIDBI. An amount of Rs. 5000 was sanctioned towards this programme by SIDBI.
