Sports teaches you character, it teaches you to play by the rules, it teaches you to know what it feels like to win and to lose, it teaches you about life. Our college offers exclusive care to players involved in various sports activities and it takes every step to ensure that sports are given equal importance as academics. It is an undeniable fact that our college was the pioneer to start sports quota admissions in the state and this was followed by all the other reputed institutions. And now, were have the highest intake of sports students. In the current batch around 78 students have been admitted through sports quota. Students admitted through sports quota have to undergo rigorous filtering process by playing their respective games against their seniors or among themselves where they will be evaluated on their performance. All the students of the sports teams are trained by professionals who assist them in reaching their goals. Exceptional gym facility, sportswear, gear and other training equipment are also provided to improve their overall physical fitness.<\/p>

Basketball, volleyball, tennis, kabbadi, ball badminton, football and indoor shuttle badminton each have 3 individual courts; hockey and cricket have 2 grounds, a handball ground and also an athletic track. They are well maintained by the management and the students are given training every single day. After all our college strictly believes that, only practice puts brains in your muscles.<\/p>

Students admitted through sports quota are given scholarships every year based on their performance. Sports students are also given awards amounting to 3.5lakh on achievers day. Athletes are given a total cash award of 1.71lakh and the coaches who put their untiring efforts are equally honoured with a total cash award of 1.6lakh.
